Evanston Cradle to Career communications plan + one-pager redesign
Evanston Cradle to Career (EC2C) is a collective impact initiative involving more than 40 partner organizations committed to ensuring that by age 23, all Evanston youth are leading productive, satisfying lives. I served as joint communications manager with the Moran Center from September 2019 to March 2020.
During this time, it was clear the collective lacked a comprehensive communications plan and strategy. To that note, working with the then executive director, I drafted a communications plan, outlining how to achieve more effective communications and marketing strategies, and a list of priorities.
In addition to developing the collective’s first-ever long term communications plan, it was also decided that the current ‘one pager’ explaining the collective’s programs and services, needed to be refreshed. Partnering with Good Egg Concepts, I was responsible for planning and managing the redesign process, taking the current one-pagers, which were done via Microsoft Word, and transforming them into sleek, elegant documents for partners and community. The one-pagers were updated, taking a design aspect from the current EC2C website, incorporating the photos of various Evanston youth we had on file.
Deliverables:
Project Management
Public outreach strategy
Stakeholder engagement
Creative Direction/ Supplemental Design
Brandbook and Collateral Materials
Communications Strategy
Outcome:
The newly-designed marketing collateral materials were well received by both internal and external stakeholders. We built a consistent look and feel across the board with fresh, eye catching materials that unifies with the overall message and mission of the collective.
